Idea

Airbnb offers curated remote stays nestled deep within nature, where the surrounding environment can be experienced through all the senses. The idea is to highlight these sensory moments and helping people notice and reconnect with experiences they often overlook in the rush of urban life.

Insight

Urban life moves at a relentless pace, often disconnecting people from nature and their senses. Even when they travel, places are mostly remembered through what they see, rather than through the deeper sensory experiences of sound, smell, touch, and taste.

Problem

When planning trips, people living in cities often choose familiar tourist destinations that are easy to reach. In trying to fit multiple experiences into a short trip, their itineraries become packed and rushed. As a result, while the destination changes, the pace of life remains the same.
