Movie Poster Design
Sound of metal & Perfect Days
This movie poster design assignment explores two contrasting films—Sound of Metal and Perfect Blue—through distinct visual narratives. For Sound of Metal, the design focuses on themes of silence, isolation, and inner transformation, using minimal composition and subtle textures to reflect the protagonist’s shifting perception of sound. In contrast, Perfect Blue is interpreted through a more intense and fragmented visual language, capturing its psychological tension, identity conflict, and blurred line between reality and illusion.
Together, the posters demonstrate the ability to translate different emotional tones into visual form—one grounded in quiet introspection, the other in psychological chaos—while maintaining strong conceptual clarity and impactful storytelling.
